Do you know why a man turns his back on you when he sleeps?

In 2014, a study by the University of Hertfordshire, in the United Kingdom, observed the positions adopted by couples during the night. The results are intriguing:

42% sleep back to back
34% maintain physical contact (hand, arm, leg)
31% sleep turned in the same direction
But what we remember above all is that the closer the partners sleep physically, the more satisfied they are with their relationship. The distance in bed can therefore become a small indicator of the emotional connection.

Contrary to popular belief, sleeping around each other is not necessarily a bad sign. It can simply indicate that everyone feels comfortable, confident, free in their space.

It’s a bit like two books arranged side by side on a shelf: they don’t look at each other, but hold the balance of the whole together.

Of course, if this posture is accompanied, during the day, by a lack of exchanges or tensions, it can also reveal a form of emotional distance. It all depends on the overall context.

Sleep

remains an intimate, often mysterious area. What if you started observing your nighttime habits as a discreet language? A ritual without words that sometimes says a lot.

And above all, keep this in mind: it’s not the position of the body that counts… but that of the heart.
