\u201cSpyglass quietly dropped Melissa Barrera as the star of the next \u2018Scream\u2019 film, sources say, due to her social media posts that referred to Israel as a \u2018colonized\u2019 land and floated an antisemitic trope that Jews control the media,\u201d Variety reported.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The company that produces the \u201cStream\u201d movie franchise dropped Melissa Barrera from their upcoming seventh film, over her comments about the Israel-Hamas war. The actress had posted several messages condemning Israel, even accusing it of \u201cethnic cleansing.\u201d<\/p>\n

In other posts, she claimed she could not find news from the \u201cPalestinian side\u201d of the war, despite major outlets frequently showing it. She claimed the U.S. media only shows the \u201cother side\u201d and added, \u201cWhy they do that, I will let you deduce for yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ironically, the liberal said social media censorship \u201cis very real,\u201d suggesting Instagram was hiding posts from Palestinians. Despite being seemingly unable to find posts from Palestinians, she claimed Israel was treating Gaza \u201clike a concentration camp.\u201d<\/p>\n
Spyglass dropped her from future \u201cSream\u201d movies. While not directly talking about Barrera, the company stated it has \u201czero tolerance for antisemitism\u201d and tacitly accused her of spreading \u201chate speech.\u201d<\/p>\n
This comes as many young, progressive Americans seemingly embrace anti-Israel and anti-Semitic stances. It started with college students siding with Palestinians and condemning Israel\u2019s response to the October 7th attack.<\/p>\n
It has spiraled into many young Americans siding with Osama bin Laden, praising his \u201cLetter to America\u201d on\u00a0social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n
The fallout of an entire generation of Americans embracing anti-Semitism could be devastating to the country.<\/p>\n
