The Trump campaign has decided not to proceed with Trump\u2019s debate against\u00a0Kamala Harris\u00a0scheduled for September 10, citing the Democrat Party\u2019s yet-to-be-formalized nomination of Harris as their presidential nominee.<\/p>\n
The September 10 debate was originally supposed to feature Trump and Biden, but since Biden has dropped out, Kamala has replaced him.<\/p>\n
Trump communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement, \u201cGiven the continued political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, general election debate details cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cheung also noted Obama has yet to endorse Harris.<\/p>\n
Chueng added, \u201cis a strong sense by many in the Democrat Party \u2026 that Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump, and they are still holding out for someone \u2018better.\u201d<\/p>\n

She accused him of \u201cbackpedaling\u201d away from a previous agreement for a debate hosted by ABC News on Sept. 10.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on the debate stage,\u201d she said after landing at Joint Base Andrews following a trip to Indiana and Texas.<\/p>\n
The Sept. 10 debate was one of two debates that President Joe Biden and Trump had agreed on. The first one was hosted by CNN on June 27, but Biden has since dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris as his successor.<\/p>\n
\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nTrump has said he would prefer to shift the debate to Fox News, but he would be willing to face off with Harris more than once.<\/p>\n
Harris did not respond to a question about having Fox News host a debate.<\/p>\n
