So I went to a psychiatrist and told him I\u2019ve got problems. Every time I go to bed I think there\u2019s somebody under it. I\u2019m scared. I think I\u2019m going crazy. \u201cJust put yourself in my hands for one year,\u201d said the psychiatrist. \u201cCome talk to me three times a week and we should be able to get rid of those fears.\u201d \u201cHow much do you charge?\u201d \u201c$80 per visit,\u201d replied the doctor. \u201cI\u2019ll sleep on it and if needed I will come back to you,\u201d I said. Six months later the psychiatrist met me on the street. \u201cWhy didn\u2019t you come to see me about those fears you were having?\u201d he asked. \u201cWell, $80 a visit three times a week for a year is an awful lot of money! A bartender cured me for $10. I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went and bought me a new SUV.\u201d \u201cIs that so!\u201d With a bit of an attitude he said, \u201cand how, may I ask, did a bartender cure you?\u201d Laughter is the best medicine\u2014they say it can cure what ails you, heal broken hearts, and even bring people together during life\u2019s darkest moments.
