Fans couldn\u2019t stop praising Tina Knowles\u2019 appearance at the event, which was the former first lady\u2019s first stop on her book tour at The Theater at MGM National Harbor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a recent Instagram carousel, Michelle Obama celebrated her conversation with Tina about her new book,\u00a0\u201cMatriarch: A Memoir.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The thread included pictures of the couple posing together while wearing stunning outfits that radiated elegance. Tina wore a stunning dress with sheer black sleeves, a black sculptured overlay that falls over a textured silver foundation, and a waist that was tightened.<\/p>\n

She had her auburn hair down and parted to the side, accessorizing with decorative earrings and a diamond bracelet.<\/p>\n

Michelle was dressed in a sharply made black suit with straight-leg pants and a double-breasted blazer.<\/p>\n

She wore her braids in a high ponytail and accessorized with matching earrings and multiple silver rings. Fans said the businesswoman looked majestic.<\/p>\n

\u201cMichelle\u2019s tall silhouette and that tailored suit is EVERYTHING!!!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0one commenter\u00a0praised.\u00a0\u201cThat suit on Michelle is perfectly tailored. She looks so good!\u00a0\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>another\u00a0raved.<\/p>\n

Michelle\u2019s suit, however, wasn\u2019t the only thing that caught viewers\u2019 attention.\u00a0\u201cMichelle has lost weight but she looks so good due to her height\u00a0,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0one onlooker\u00a0noted.<\/p>\n

Still, the observations on her weight transformation weren\u2019t all positive.\u00a0\u201cWondering is Mrs. Obama is okay. She\u2019s losing so much weight (to me.),\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0one person\u00a0said.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Michelle thanked singer-songwriter Ledisi for her appearance at the occasion. She went on to say that her\u00a0podcast,\u00a0\u201cIn My Opinion,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>which she co-hosts with her brother Craig Robinson, would soon webcast her interview with Tina.<\/p>\n

Tina also shared her own posts about her first book tour stop, featuring photos of the night\u2019s most memorable moments. The author enjoyed speaking with her\u00a0\u201cforever First Lady,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>as she\u00a0wrote,\u00a0\u201cTo be in conversation with her, in front of a room full of love, laughter, and powerful Black women? A dream.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In another post, about two hours later, Tina said she was\u00a0\u201cstill walking on cloud nine\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0after the event.\u00a0\u201cWe laughed we got emotional we joked we danced (She taught me a little of the dance) but most of all we were honest and straightforward [sic],<\/strong>\u201d she\u00a0recalled.<\/p>\n

Tina went on to say that Keke Palmer would serve as moderator for her upcoming appearance at the\u00a0Wiltern Theater\u00a0in Los Angeles. Jennifer Hudson will also be there to perform, and it will be amazing.<\/p>\n

Her\u00a0tour\u00a0will continue in numerous additional places, such as New Orleans with Tamron Hall, Houston with Kelly Rowland, and Atlanta with Tyler Perry.<\/p>\n

Last month, Oprah\u2019s novel Club\u00a0featured her novel, which was published on April 22, 2025 and is accessible on Amazon.<\/p>\n

It was a #1 New York Times bestseller when it was\u00a0first released\u00a0and is currently ranked #9 in the top 10. Additionally, a number of U.S. bookstores, such as Barns and Nobles and Class Bookstore, provide signed copies for fans.<\/p>\n

Michelle and Tina\u2019s appearance follows the former First Lady\u2019s brief discussion of her marriage to Barack Obama in a May 1 edition of\u00a0\u201cDiary of a CEO.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The host, Steven Bartlett, mentioned the divorce speculation that\u2019s been swirling around her marriage in the media.\u00a0\u201cWhat I will say is, you know me well enough now, Steven, that if I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>she\u00a0responded.<\/p>\n
