The meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Canada\u2019s newly elected Prime Minister Mark Carney combined diplomatic talk with confrontational messages to discuss a long-running theory about Canada becoming the 51st U.S. state.<\/p>\n

yet Carney acknowledged Trump as a \u201ctransformational president\u201d before asserting Canada\u2019s complete refusal to consider becoming a state. Using real estate wisdom as his guide Carney made it clear \u201cthere are some places that exist beyond marketplace values.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Carney established Canadian dominance at home by connecting iconic locations like the Oval Office and Buckingham Palace to showcase his coun\u2019s self-governance as \u201cmasters in our own home.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former president reinforced his reputation for impossible feats by saying \u201cI\u2019ve had many many things that were not doable and ended up being doable\u201d as he left open the possibility of future negotiations.<\/p>\n
