Patrick Murray, a well-known actor from the show Only Fools and Horses, died at the age of 68 after a battle with lung cancer.<\/p>\n

People mostly know the actor for his role as Mickey Pearce, a Cockney chancer, in the famous BBC comedy show. Nicholas Lyndhurst played Rodney Trotter, while David Jason played Del Boy.<\/p>\n

He had lung cancer before, but doctors said he was well. A year later, the sickness came back and spread to his pelvis and legs.<\/p>\n

The Only Fools and Horses Appreciation Society put a message on Facebook to pay tribute to the performer.<\/p>\n

He was already well-known for the violent criminal drama Scum from the 1970s and the movie Quadrophenia about The Who.<\/p>\n

Mickey\u2019s habit of making his business and relationship triumphs sound bigger than they were often made his fans giggle.<\/p>\n

Patrick reported in 2023 that doctors had taken out part of his liver after they identified a malignant tumor in 2022.<\/p>\n

He said to his people, \u201cToday I\u2019m going home.\u201d Without half a liver and a tumor that the excellent Prof. Heaton took out last week. I didn\u2019t tell anyone that they found another primary cancer last year.<\/p>\n

Five months after his original diagnosis, he assured his fans he was \u201ccured\u201d and commented, \u201cThanks again for all your lovely messages.\u201d You might remember that I was told I had lung cancer in July.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the surgery in October to remove the tumor, I had chemotherapy to help keep the cancer from coming back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile I was having this treatment, doctors found another tumor in my liver. I was able to treat this cancer because it wasn\u2019t related to the lung cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a TACE surgery to fix this. Last Friday, I saw my cancer doctor. She reported that the liver tumor was becoming smaller and that the lung cancer was gone.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cIt\u2019s not over yet, but I\u2019m very happy with this latest news.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick died after John Challis, who played Terrance Aubrey \u201cBoycie\u201d on Only Fools & Horses, died in 2021.<\/p>\n

Today, John\u2019s wife, Carol, paid her own tribute to Patrick by posting, \u201cMy condolences to Pat\u2019s beloved wife, Anong, and their daughter, Josie.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
