Hollywood star Kathy Griffin took to social media to tell her fans about a new health issue she is suffering from and seemed to know she would get mocked for it. Kathy said:<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is going to sound, whatever, you can laugh or whatever, but I\u2019ve been diagnosed with complex PTSD. They call it an extreme case.\u00a0Never talked about this publicly. I have lots of tools.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut it is extremely intense. I\u2019ve never experienced anything like this in my life. If you\u2019re someone who also deals with this, I am sending you lots and lots of love.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf any of you know my story, you\u2019ll understand that this really started for me about five and a half years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cWink.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know, the cancer didn\u2019t help.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, I felt like one might be coming on.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, I\u2019m on my walk now, and I\u2019m outside and looking at the ocean, which is helpful.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I\u2019m sort of almost like mid-anxiety attack right now. It feels good to be walking my way through it. I just keep telling myself it won\u2019t last forever.\u201d<\/p>\n
In August 2021, Griffin said she had lung cancer. She had half of her left lung removed and said in December 2021 that she was cancer-free.<\/p>\n
But she spent Easter this year getting an MRI.<\/p>\n
According to\u00a0Eonline:<\/p>\n
She\u2019s planning to get professional help by trying eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, she said in the comments.<\/em><\/p>\n Per the Cleveland Clinic, \u201cThis method involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories.<\/em><\/p>\n EMDR\u2019s goal is to help you heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n But in the meantime, Griffin said one big remedy is her four dogs, telling one user, \u201cThey are my healers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
