Illinois sheriffs just dealt a big blow to the disastrous Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and said they would refuse to bail out Lightfoot if she requests law enforcement assistance from them.<\/p>\n
DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick and Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain said they\u2019ve helped Lightfoot in the past but will not do it this time.\u00a0Hain said:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System typically responds to emergency situations where there is no opportunity for planning This situation to me is much different. This is all begotten by a lack of planning and support of the Chicago Police Department.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo now, they are bleeding that out to us.\u00a0I will not send my personnel to Chicago unless an officer is under direct duress because I cannot support this slanted agenda.<\/p>\n
\u201cI also will not allow my deputies to be subjected to use of force in the City and be under the prosecutorial jurisdiction of the Cook County State\u2019s Attorney.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mendrick called it a \u201cpreplanned police shortage\u201d and said, \u201cThe lack of logic is the thing that astounds me.\u201d<\/p>\n
